Hi!

Any medical doctor can issue a certificate stating that you were sick, if they have have suitable documentation/findings to make such a statement. It does not have to be your primary care physician (fastlege). Normally a patient have to see the doctor the same day they are sick to be able to get this type of documentation. I have no way of knowing if someone that comes to a appointment today were sick last week, and therefore can not issue a statement to document it. The MD. can say no to any request for a doctors notice.

If you already missed the exam you should see a doctor in person as soon as possible to request documentation.

Hope you feel better soon and that it all works out in the end.

Sincerely
