I have a question regarding contraception in Norway
Jente, 19
Hi! I'm 19 and I will move from Italy to Norway in about 2 months. I had a question regarding contraception.. right now I'm using a pill named SIBILLETTE 2mg/0.03mg and I was wondering what the equivalent for that would be in Norway, since it is only available in Italy. Of course I will buy it in bulk before moving so I am covered for a while. I will ask my doctor, however I also wanted to put the question out here :-) Thanks!

Hi! That’s a great question, and it’s smart that you’re planning ahead.
Sibillette contains dienogest 2 mg and ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg, which is a combination oral contraceptive. While this exact brand is not available in Norway, the same hormonal combination is available under different a different name.
In Norway, pills with dienogest 2 mg + ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg are sold under the name Yana
Bring enough so you are covered for a while, as you're already planning :-) Make sure that a good supply until you can get settled and can speak with a doctor or public health nurse in Norway.
In Norway contraceptive pills are free or subsidized for people under 22. At 19, you are eligible for some coverage, depending on your residency status. :-)
Good luck <3
