I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through this. It's tough to deal with situations like these, especially when you're worried about the consequences of speaking out. Remember, you deserve to feel safe and loved at home. Here are some steps you can take:

  1. Talk to a Trusted Adult: Reach out to someone you trust, like a teacher, school counselor, relative, or family friend. They may be able to help you navigate the situation without involving the police right away.
  2. Write Down Your Feelings: Keeping a journal or writing a letter to your parents (even if you don't give it to them) can help you express your feelings and understand your emotions better.
  3. Find Support: 116 111(childrens helpline) and 116 123(mental healthline) are hotlines you can talk to and chat with anonymously.
  4. Create a Safety Plan: If the situation becomes unsafe, think of places you can go or people you can call for help. Make sure you have a way to contact someone in an emergency.
  5. Understand It’s Not Your Fault: No matter what, you are not to blame for how your parents are acting. They are responsible for their behavior, not you.

If you're afraid of them finding out you sought help, many organizations and helplines can keep your conversation private as the ones mentioned earlier in the text. .
